Cyprus Expats BBQ in collaboration with MySchaschlik.

Hi everyone! Our next BBQ will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

This time, we have a special offer in collaboration with the founder of My Schaschlik.com, who will soon be opening a German butcher shop here in Paphos.

Before you sign up for the event, please register or log in on the website if possible. Thank you.

You can order the following types of shashlik for the day:

Original Pork €2.50 Original Chicken €3.50 Chicken Teriyaki €3.50 Lamb with Garlic and Pepper €4.50

Note: One skewer/serving is approx. 200g; in a restaurant, you’d typically expect about 400g per person.

Also available:

Thuringian bratwurst €1.70 (approx. 130 g) Pork neck steak €2 (approx. 230 g) Chicken steaks €2 (approx. 200 g)

Viktor makes all these items himself each day—he’s a master butcher. Note: I’ve already tried all the shashliks, and they’re absolutely amazing. You can then grill the skewers yourselves using his tips. He’ll bring the right grills for the job.

You can also buy his other items on-site for this barbecue. They won’t be vacuum-sealed for takeout. If you plan to take any home, please bring appropriate packaging materials (and remember to bring a way to keep them cool).

Please leave a comment (sign up on our site to do so) listing what you’d like to order and your name. It’s absolutely essential that you bring the exact amount in cash. We don’t have time to make large change. Plus, internet access up there is spotty, so it’s hard to transfer money. That means Revolut is rather difficult, if not impossible. To ensure everything goes smoothly and stress-free, Viktor or one of his staff members will handle payment with you on-site. Pre-ordering is important so that Viktor knows how much to bring.

Please write your order exactly as I’ve shown above.

Otherwise, things will go as usual if you don’t want meat from Viktor. Everyone brings their own food and drinks and grills their own vegetables or meat. As always, I’ll bring charcoal, grill grates, and grill tongs, and I’ll light the grill around 5:00 p.m. Please bring your own plates, utensils, and anything else you need. There will be a table set up for homemade salads, where everyone can help themselves.

In addition, there will be a small networking event raffle this time. We’ll be hosting a sort of bingo game so you can get to know each other a little better. There will also be a few prizes to win.

If you have a portable speaker, feel free to bring it—just something quiet for background music so we can still chat.

This is a great opportunity to get to know each other better, make connections, and maybe even plan future activities together.

As with the last BBQs, everyone takes their trash home so we can leave the area clean—that’s always worked out great. Trash cans will also be available if needed. I’ll also hang up some trash bags.

Please sign up (it’s free) if you’re coming so we know how many people to expect. Most importantly, so I know how much charcoal and how many grill grates we’ll need. If you’re coming as a couple, please sign up for two people.

I’m really looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces again! Best regards, Tom
